B.OSS exists 10 years
The Belgian Obstetric Surveillance System was launched in 2012 and grew in ten years to the current B.OSS of 2022. Belgian maternities register severe and rare complications of pregnancy with B.OSS, with the aim of improving our knowledge and quality of obstetric care in Belgium.
Since January 2021, B.OSS has been reinforced with the Belgian Analysis system for Maternal Mortality or BAMM. Belgium finally has a confidential system for the registration and evaluation of maternal deaths. The responses from healthcare providers and experts after one year are encouraging.
B.OSS and BAMM are financially supported by the Federal Public Service of Health and substantively by the College of Mother and Newborn, SPE and CEpiP, VVOG and CRGOLFB. B.OSS is part of the international network INOSS (International Network of Obstetric Survey Systems): a collaboration that enables research into very rare disorders.
B.OSS would like to invite you to this symposium intended for all healthcare providers involved in the treatment and follow-up of women during or after pregnancy and childbirth.
